Bizarre hotel protest at the Tour de France
Dirt, cobwebs, and unbearable heat: Questionable hotel conditions are once again causing a stir during the Tour de France. Some riders simply moved their beds onto the balcony.

Norwegian professional cyclist Anders Halland Johannessen has the Report on the hotel of cycling star Tadej Pogacar He used the opportunity to criticize his accommodation during the Tour de France. Despite the sweltering heat, the Slovenian superstar's hotel had no air conditioning.
The 26-year-old Johannessen wrote on the platform X: "Could be worse, this is ours," and panned his mobile phone camera to the corner of the room. Cobwebs and dirt are visible in the video. At the end of the clip, the professional can be seen with a disgusted expression. The hotel's location in the Massif Central is unknown.
The teammates of Torstein Traeen, who briefly wore the yellow jersey during the Tour de France and has since been forced to withdraw due to injury, quickly got creative. Another video on Instagram showed them setting up their beds on the hotel balcony and spending the night outdoors. Johannessen commented: "The hotel's interior: questionable." He added that the exterior was very nice. After the night, he wrote: "I would recommend 7/7 sleep."
Tour organizers responsible
The hotels for the teams are selected by the Tour de France organizers, ASO. Pogacar recently spent a night in an old hotel without air conditioning. However, the problem was solved by bringing their own portable air conditioners and using special cooling mattress toppers for the cyclists.A heat wave is sweeping through central France. Temperatures in the Massif Central are reaching nearly 40 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, for the first time in the history of the 113th Tour de France, a stage was shortened due to the heat.
