In the men's elite race, newly crowned Italian champion Andrea Siffredi prevailed over Diego Rosa in a sprint to the finish over the 123 kilometers with 3400 meters of elevation gain. In the women's race, Italian runner-up Claudia Peretti crossed the finish line first after 85 kilometers and 2360 meters of elevation gain. A total of over 2500 enthusiastic bikers participated in what may be the last edition of the renowned MTB marathon in the 3 Zinnen Dolomites region, enjoying not only a top-notch event but also near-perfect weather conditions.
Under slightly cloudy skies and relatively cool temperatures of just under 10 degrees Celsius, more than 2500 cyclists from 38 different nations set off in the morning to tackle the "legend." Among them were numerous elite cyclists, who engaged in a thrilling battle for the stage victory at the anniversary edition. Attention was particularly focused on Andrea Soffredi, who had won the Italian championship title last weekend in Borno, in the province of Brescia. The 26-year-old, who is also the European runner-up, lived up to his role as favorite – even though he secured victory with a total time of 4:43.06,2 hours, just 0,1 seconds ahead of Diego Rosa, another "Azzurro."

After the start, Rosa and Siffredi took the lead with 16 other riders. Over the following kilometers uphill to the Croda Rossa, the leading group gradually thinned out. In the section between Monte Baranci and Sluderbach, seven riders were in the lead: in addition to Siffredi and Rosa, Davide Foccoli, Alessio Agostinelli, Nicola Taffarel, Stefano Goria, and Diego Alfonso Arias Cuervo were also in the race. However, the climb to Prato alla Plätzwiese proved decisive, as in previous years. Siffredi and Rosa broke away from the rest of the group and crossed the finish line with a lead of almost 52 seconds over third-placed Stefano Goria. Fourth place went to Colombian Diego Alfonso Arias Cuervo, and fifth place went to Nicola Taffarel, another strong Italian rider.
Claudia Peretti wins in a hard-fought race
An hour earlier, Claudia Peretti had celebrated her second victory after 2022 at the South Tyrol Dolomiti Superbike in the center of Niederdorf. The final kilometers were also crucial for the Lombardy native. The winner rode to Prato Piazza (67 kilometers) together with Chiara Gualandi from Emilia Romagna. In the subsequent descent, Peretti, who had already finished third at the 2022 and 2024 MTB Marathon European Championships, was able to gain valuable seconds, crossing the finish line in 3:48.43,0 hours. Gualandi followed 43 seconds later, taking second place.Claudia Peretti was unbeatable. © Armin Stuefer / Sportissimus
After the start, the two top female cyclists, Giorgia Marchet from Feltre, took the lead, closely followed by local hero Agnes Tschurtschenthaler from Sexten and Greta Recchia from Lazio. In the section between Toblach and Schluderbach, Peretti and Gualdi pulled away from Marchet, Recchia, and Tschurtschenthaler. Marchet, who hails from Veneto, ultimately finished third.
Allodi is unrivalled in the middle distance
The victory in the men's 85-kilometer race went to Lorenzo Allodi. In the early stages of the race, the cyclist from Parma rode alongside those tackling the 123 kilometers. However, when he reached the fork in the course, he opted for the middle route, where the competition was no match for him. The 24-year-old from Emilia-Romagna crossed the finish line in 3:12.10,1. Ten minutes later, another "Azzurro," Davide Mancin Majoni, arrived in Niederdorf, while Daniel Webhofer from Austria achieved the third-fastest time.In the classic distance (60 km/1570 m elevation gain), two South Tyroleans took home victories at the 30th Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike. Armin Dalvai won the men's race. The biker from Anterivo is the reigning European and Italian Masters champion and finished in 2:18.24,0 hours. Lena Kahn from Toblach, however, won the women's race (3:01.27,4 hours).
