Tour de France: Quinziato is at the front

Quinziato tried to break away with 17 other athletes and set the pace at the front of the field for long stretches. But while Da Costa was able to pull away decisively, the completely exhausted South Tyrolean fell back in the last few kilometers and finished the race in 26th position. He was 5.27 minutes behind.

At the top of the overall classification everything remained as usual: Briton Chris Froome finished the race in the peloton, knowing full well that none of the breakaways could pose a threat to him. He is getting closer to winning the Tour in 2013.

Tour de France: Quinziato is at the front

The Portuguese Rui Alberto Faria Da Costa won the 16th stage of the 100th edition of the Tour de France from Vaison-la-Romaine to Gap (168 km). For a long time, Manuel Quinziato from Bolzano was also at the top.
