Transalp: The South Tyrolean protagonists are Ilmer and Weiss

The starting signal for this year's Schwalbe-TOUR-Transalp will be given on Sunday in Mittenwald, Bavaria, at 10 a.m. In seven daily stages, 650 teams of two have to cover a total distance of 808,18 km and overcome 18.877 meters of altitude with 17 Alpine passes to Arco in Trentino. The strongest participants include the South Tyroleans Marina Ilmer and Werner Weiss.
