56 horses to admire in Merano

On Sunday, the 12th race day of the summer and autumn season will take place in Untermais. Seven flat and obstacle races are on the program. The race grounds in Merano open at 12 noon.

Five strong hurdlers will be competing in the Hotel Rössl Prize, which is endowed with 5 euros. Aslano leads the starter list. The gelding recently impressed with his victorious comeback and will be the favorite tomorrow with Josef Bartos in the saddle. Sky Costellation from the Rössl Team racing stable is also a contender for victory.

A total of 56 horses from Poland, the Czech Republic and Italy are taking part in Merano. At the beginning of the race day, there will also be a flat competition for Haflinger horses, in which 8 mares will take part. The race starts at 14 p.m.

Live music during breaks

The breaks between the races are filled with live musical performances by the duo Sara Ridolfi & David Altieri. Children have the opportunity to ride ponies. For an additional charge on the ticket, a guided tour of the racecourse can be booked, which takes place at 13 p.m.
