In Merano the price of Imperial Art rises

On Sunday, the second race day of the summer meeting will take place at the Untermaiser racecourse. A total of 51 horses from Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic and Italy will start in the seven daily competitions.

Seven horses will compete in the mile test for four-year-olds and older horses for the Imperial Art prize. Multiple champion trainer Bruno Grizzetti will saddle up veteran Conte Attilio. Dario Vargiu, a regular at the summer meeting, will be in his saddle. Uragano, who will also have one of the top flat jockeys, Luca Maniezzi, in the saddle, will be training Andrea Manuele.

Mario Esposito saddles the mare Miss Mchenry, who will start the race with the South American Manuel Acosta. Lightweight Plutone will be racing for Denise Pederiva's home team. The gelding has one of the best Italian jockeys, Federico Bossa, in the saddle. The experienced rider Allocco is travelling from Tuscany. The gelding will be ridden by Davide Cirocca.

Live music during breaks

The breaks between the races are filled with live musical performances by the duo Daniela Bavetta & Lele Poletti. Children have the opportunity to ride ponies. For an additional charge on the ticket, a tour of the racecourse can be booked, which takes place at 15 p.m. In the evening, grill specialties are offered in the catering tent from 19 p.m.
