The international show jumping tournament "Jumping in the Alps" at the Wiesen Riding Club, which runs until Sunday, continued on Wednesday. It was the final day of the second tournament in the South Tyrol Equestrian Days, which corresponded to category B3*. From Friday onwards, the riders will compete in the third and final tournament – ​​this time at the highest level, A5*.

The most important decision took place in the late afternoon with the C140 category, which was decided in two rounds. Alberto Boscarato (CI Milanese ASD) took the victory on Ligosther with a time of 39,91 seconds. Riccardo Vittori (CI Vittori ASD) finished second on Clash, just behind in 40,52 seconds. Filippo Gasca Queirazza (GQ Stable SSD A RL) came in third on Salto 77 with a time of 42,12 seconds.

Leonie Gasteiger of the host riding club Wiesen achieved a notable success. Riding Ginger 68, she took second place in category C115, which had a prize purse of 500 euros. The young rider was only beaten by Greta Minini (L'Eden SSD A RL) on Darco De Riverland. In category B110, Heinrich Egger of CE Val Gardena ASD secured second place on Cara Mia. And in category B100, Maria Lucia Cella (Wiesen Riding Club) finished third on Chapman G.

Pitzianti wins the main category on Tuesday evening

Christian Pitzianti won Tuesday's main category – C135. The rider from Toscana Equitazione ASD prevailed on Nunora Z with a time of 56,48 seconds. At the awards ceremony, he was flanked by Andrea Campagnaro from Horse Club Catajo ASD, who rode Leika, and Maria Salvini (OS Stable 1992) with Opra Rose VDL.

"Now the second tournament here in Wiesen is also history. It was a great success, and above all, the young riders were able to showcase their skills, which was very important to us and something we are particularly pleased about. Now we have a day off and can prepare for the grand finale this weekend, when the A5* tournament will take place at our facility, where the winners can even qualify for the World Cup in Verona in November. We look forward to exciting competitions and hopefully many interested spectators who can enjoy top-level equestrian sport with free admission," concluded the organizing Wiesen Riding Club.
