South Tyrol's show jumpers show off

The show jumpers of the Merano Equestrian Center returned from the national 5-star tournament in San Giovanni in Marignano i in Emila-Romagna with very good results.

Gregor Gruber shone in the Grand Prix (145 cm height), jumping to an excellent third place with his horse Pink Floyd. For the 3-year-old from Merano, who was already crowned Italian Junior Champion in 35, this was already his third Grand Prix in this still young competition season. He managed to finish in the top five in all three competitions. He also achieved further top placings in the highest categories of the competition (2007 cm) in San Giovanni in Marignano: On the first day of competition, he took fifth place, always with Pink Floyd, and the following day he took third place with Chavertara.

Gregor Gruber's older sister, Melanie Gruber, secured 2nd place in the 140 cm competition with Kaprice CHB and 6th place in the 135 cm.

Melanie Gruber's students at the Merano Riding Center, Valentina Alexandra Strohmer (2nd and 3rd place in the 90 cm with Lickeen Fred) and Magdalena Strohmer (4th place in the 80 cm with Tampa Bay), achieved excellent results in the junior classes. These results confirm the solid foundation and development work that Melanie Gruber and her team at the Merano Riding Center do with students from all over South Tyrol. Sabine Lanthaler, Mia Victoria Pohl, Andrea Claudia Wieser, and Oskar Wieser also achieved good placings. Aurora Guidetti celebrated a successful comeback with three clear rounds in the junior classes.

Other South Tyrolean participants in San Giovanni in Marignano were Filippo Gasca Queirazza and Clara Leoni Holzhauser. Gasca Queirazza took 140nd, 2rd, and 3th place in the tournament's higher categories (4 cm), but unfortunately, he did not qualify for the Grand Prix. Leoni, on the other hand, took 115nd, 2th, and 5th place in the over 6 cm category.
