Full program in Merano: The weekend is full of action

The defending champion in the Group 1 race is Mauricius. The Aichner gelding is one of the big favorites for the race after a confident victory in the preparatory race with Josef Bartos in the saddle. He will be accompanied by his stablemates Grand The Taix (J. Faltejsek) and Piton Des Neiges (O. Velek). Natam is also travelling from the Czech Republic to train the Vana family. The gelding from the Tania – Vana racing stable won the Great Italian Hurdle Race in Merano in the spring. 5 Frenchmen will be lining up on Sunday. Trainer David Cottin will saddle Be A Nice Girl with stable jockey Johnny Charron and Tonerre Du Temps, whose saddle will be ridden by Emile Bonnet. I Can Path (T. Andrieux) will be competing in Christian Troger's stable colours. The gelding has done well on the French provincial race tracks. The same goes for Sweeper Chop (C. Riou), trained by Delaunay. Patrick Quinton is sending the experienced gelding Gino Des Dunes (JS Lebrun) into the race with good chances of a top place.
