Bozen’s fistball players end mixed season

SSV Bozen, under the leadership of the coaching duo Jörg Ramel and Simon Prudenziati, competed against the teams from Münzbach and St. Leonhard. In an exciting season finale, the South Tyroleans were able to win against Sankt Leonhard, but were narrowly defeated by Münzbach in the first game. In the opening match against the favored opponent from Münzbach, Bozen showed a very good performance throughout the game, but in the end they were missing that last bit of luck to win. After a nerve-wracking and hard-fought fifth set, the hosts finally had to admit defeat with 2:3. Bolzano shows its true face In the second game against St. Leonhard, however, the Bozen team showed their true strength. They dominated the action on the court from the start. With precise attacks and a solid defense, Bozen gave their opponents hardly any chances and won clearly in three sets. Attacker Jakob Riegler in particular stood out with an excellent performance and repeatedly put the opposing defense under pressure. St. Leonhard could not withstand the pressure from Bozen, and the home team used its chances consistently to end the last game of the season with a 3-0 victory in sets. "At the end of this season we showed a very good performance, which gives us motivation for the next season. We now have to use the winter training efficiently in order to be at the top again next year," explained Jakob Riegler after the game. Rejuvenation process in Bozen With this final success, SSV Bozen finished the season in a mixed eighth place in the table and thus secured its place in the second Bundesliga. The Bozen team is currently undergoing a process of change and rejuvenation, with particular emphasis on the integration of young players. The coaching duo Ramel and Prudenziati therefore see the next season in the second Bundesliga primarily as an opportunity to further shape the team and develop teamwork. "It's an important phase for us," added Simon Prudenziati after the last game. "We want to use the next season to give the younger players more match practice and to strengthen our team for the future." Jörg Ramel also emphasised: "Our aim is to lay a stable foundation for the coming years. If we continue to develop well, we want to be in the race for promotion again in the near future."
