The goalball players of BSSG South Tyrol (Blind and Visually Impaired Amateur Sports Group) represented Italy as reigning Italian champions at the STBV World Masters Goalball in Sargans (Switzerland) with a women's and a men's team.

Together with young Italian talents, both teams gained valuable international experience.

The tournament was particularly successful for the women: After a strong group stage, they advanced to the final as group winners and secured an excellent second place after a thrilling 4:6 defeat against TB Glarus 11.

The men showed great commitment in many evenly matched games and, despite finishing in 11th place, gained important experience at the highest international level.

The special highlight was Magdalena Hofer, who was chosen as the MVP of the tournament – ​​after both BSSG captains were among the three finalists.
