Three young brain teasers on the road to success
Last week, 1356 young talents from all over Italy competed in Salsumaggiore Terme in various age groups from U8 to U18 to determine the Italian champions in 12 categories.

The 22-strong South Tyrolean delegation was able to return home with 9 medals on the last day of play after the 3th and final round. After coming away empty-handed for the last 11 years, the joy was all the greater that this time the South Tyroleans won several medals.
FIDE Master Niccolò Casadio from SC Gröden won gold in his 10th and final appearance with 7,5 points in the U18 category, in which 161 mental athletes competed. With the same number of points, Jonas Unterweger from Richter/LASK Bozen won silver in the U14 players (231 registered). Celina Unterberger from Merania completed the set of medals with bronze in the U14 girls (51 participants). She scored 7 points.
