Players of all ages met on the 18-hole course for this tournament, which had a few special features to offer: It started with the shotgun start, meaning all participants started at different golf holes at the same time. The hole in one was also unusual: at hole number 9, you could win a sporty and environmentally friendly electric car, namely a new "MINI Cooper Electric" in the form of a long-term car rental from Sparkasse. Unfortunately, no one managed to complete the hole in just one shot, even though they managed to get within just under 1 meter.
The challenging course, which took just over 5 hours to complete, required precise play and players willing to take risks. Maurizio Cobelli (Gröden Golf Club) took first place in the gross ranking, and Ascan Barone Pitscheider (St. Vigl Seis Golf Club) took first place in the first net category. Andrea Gazzini (Rovereto Golf Club) won the second net category. Carlo Giacomarra (Faula Golf Club) took first place in the third net category. Rosanna Pascucci (Verona Golf Club) qualified in the "Ladies" category, while Carla Avanzi (Verona Golf Club) and Selenio Rosselli (Elba Golf Club) came first in the "Nearst to the Pin" category.
In addition to the sporting competition, which is not primarily about physical strength and speed, but rather about coordination and concentration, social exchange also comes into its own. The Sparkasse Golf Trophy is not just about success on the green, but also about socializing after the game. At the end of the day, the highlight of this exclusive and popular golf event was a dinner with prize distribution and a nice gift raffle with great non-cash prizes to end the tournament in a cozy atmosphere.
