Preparations for this year's Alperia Sports Aid Gala are already in full swing, ensuring that the magnificent Kursaal will once again be the setting for an unforgettable ball night in 2026.

Several hundred guests are expected – prominent figures from sports, business, politics, and society. The focus will be on those who represent South Tyrol nationally and internationally: the region's athletes. While the established format of the evening guarantees continuity, this year's event bears a new name: the Alperia Sports Aid Gala. The sponsor is Alperia, a leading South Tyrolean energy company and a strong main sponsor of the South Tyrolean Sports Aid Foundation. Together, the partners are sending a clear message of commitment, sustainability, and the promotion of elite sports in the region.

An evening with the very best. In the festive setting of the Kurhaus, the Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year, as well as the Team of the Year, will be honored. This long-standing tradition is, as always, organized by the daily newspaper Dolomiten and forms the centerpiece of the evening. The show will be broadcast live from the Kurhaus Merano by RAI Südtirol, making the gala a regional event. "We anticipate a wonderful evening of sport, where we will put South Tyrol's top athletes and the entire sporting world in the spotlight. At the same time, we also want to highlight the role of the South Tyrolean Sports Aid Foundation, which has accompanied and supported many of these careers for years," emphasizes Giovanni Podini, President of the South Tyrolean Sports Aid Foundation. Luis Amort, CEO of Alperia, is also full of anticipation: "Alperia has been committed to sport in South Tyrol for many years. The partnership with this special sporting event is therefore a logical step.
