President Napolitano welcomes all Olympic champions 50 years after the Summer Games in Rome
The Italian Olympic champions will be honored with a great honor: On Friday, September 10, 50 years after the Summer Games in Rome, President Giorgio Napolitano will invite all gold medalists in Italian sports history to the Quirinal Palace in Rome. Over 300 athletes will be present, including the 17 South Tyrolean Olympic champions, as well as CONI President Gianni Petrucci, Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi, and the Mayor of Rome Gianni Alemanno.
