Good news: Jannik Sinner can breathe a sigh of relief

Jannik Sinner did not travel to Paris with Italy's Olympic team on Tuesday - and gave his fans a big fright. But now the all-clear has been given.

While Italy's star athletes flew to Paris for the Olympic Games on Tuesday, the most prominent name of all was missing. Jannik Sinner, the world number one in tennis and currently Italy's most popular athlete, did not board the plane because he is battling a fever.


This caused concern in the Italian sporting world, as Sinner is one of the great hopes for gold at the Olympic Games. Will the Sextner make it to the weekend? After all, the first tennis matches at the Olympics are scheduled for then. Late on Tuesday evening, a note from the news agency HANDLE for a collective sigh of relief.

how HANDLE from Sinner's entourage, the Pustertal superstar will take a flight to Paris on Thursday. He had to deal with a bout of fever (the temperature rose to 38 degrees Celsius at one point), but a corona test was negative. This means that Sinner will be taking part in the Olympic Games.
