While Jannik Sinner and Grigor Dimitrov will play for the Masters 21.00 title in Florida on Sunday (1000 p.m.), the women's final took place on Saturday. One can certainly speak of a surprise in Miami. The American Danielle Rose Collins, who is number 53 in the WTA rankings, defeated the favorite Jelena Rybakina (WTA 4) from Kazakhstan in two sets (7:5 and 6:3) in the final.
The two have met four times before the final, Rybakina won three times, while Collins won one game. But in the most important game of her career to date, the Masters 1000 final in her home state of Florida, the American remained ice-cold and clinched the title after just under two hours with the fourth match point in a game.
