The world number one tennis player established the Jannik Sinner Foundation. The foundation was born out of the belief that education and sports can change a child's life. Sinner's own story serves as living proof of this.
"Today is a very special day," Sinner began his video post on Instagram with these words. "With this foundation, we want to make it easier for young people to realize their dreams," Sinner explained. His foundation, which has been in the planning stages for some time, will support various school programs and community initiatives aimed at making education and sports more accessible to young people.
"It's a great honor for me to support children and young athletes," Sinner said in a press release. "The lessons I've learned through sports—discipline, resilience, and authenticity—are invaluable. It's important to share these lessons with the children. Our mission is to show them the endless possibilities available to them, both in sports and in life."
Prominent board member
The foundation's board consists of a number of experienced individuals, including Alex Vittur, CEO of the management agency Avima and Sinners Manager. The board also includes Stefano Domenicali. Jannik Sinner's suspension expires on Sunday, May 4. Next week, the South Tyrolean will make his big comeback on the tennis stage at the Masters in Rome.
