Karin Knapp was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the $25.000 tournament in Civitavecchia. The 24-year-old from Luttach had to give up against the Spanish wild card player Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor (WTA number 394) in the second set when the score was 3:6, 0:1 because of a headache.
