A whole host of celebrities from the world of sport, politics, business, but also sponsors, musicians and actors pat Jannik Sinner on the back after his triumph in New York. And there are also eager congratulations in South Tyrol.

I was scared of Medvedev in the quarter-finals, but the hardest match was the semi-final against Jack Draper. He always had the final under control. I also felt that he was going to break when it was 3:5 in the 3rd set."

Heribert Mayr , one of his first coaches in Sexten and Bruneck: "Jannik did a great job. You could see the tension in Fritz's first big final. Jannik made the break when he needed it. He was always able to improve. Who would have thought that he would win 2 Grand Slam tournaments in one year? Fabulous."
