"As a fan, I think it's idiotic not to want him there anymore. I think that's weak of Bayern," the 27-year-old told pay-TV channel Sky.
Sebastian Kehl also regrets Müller's departure from Munich: "It's a shame that he's not continuing there now," said Dortmund's sporting director, "but of course I'm not involved in the internal matters."

The 2014 World Cup winner is "an outstanding person, but also someone who has always identified with this club," Kehl said. He hopes Müller stays in football. The 35-year-old attacker is a great role model and has always remained hungry. "Chapeau!"
Müller is already missing
BVB striker Karim Adeyemi also looks on with sadness at Müller's end in Munich. "For as long as I've been alive, I haven't known Bayern Munich without Thomas Müller, and that's why it's very, very hard," said the 23-year-old Dortmund player. "But every player gets older, and slowly all the players are retiring." FC Bayern will definitely miss Müller.Leipzig defender David Raum would have liked to see Müller continue in the Bundesliga: "If I had him at the club, I would keep him there as long as possible," the 26-year-old said of his former national team colleague. "It will definitely be strange not to see him in the FC Bayern jersey next year."

Even their fiercest championship rivals had words of praise. "I really appreciate having been able to play with someone like Thomas Müller and gain experience," said Leverkusen's Jonathan Tah, who, like Raum, shared the DFB jersey with Müller.
Müller announced on Saturday morning that his contract, which expires at the end of the season, would not be extended. The professional has played for Munich since July 1, 2000. On Friday, fellow World Cup winner Hummels (36), who is currently under contract with AS Roma, announced his retirement after the season.
