Sinner & Sonego: The successful double works magic in California

Jannik Sinner is not only flying high in the singles in Indian Wells in the US state of California: the man from Sexten also performed well in the doubles on Sunday night.

At the historic Davis Cup final at the end of November 2023, Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Sonego achieved a successful double. Now the two have reunited in Indian Wells and promptly celebrated success. There was an unchallenged 7:5, 6:1 triumph against the well-known Russian doubles Karen Khachanov/Andrey Rublev.

Things only got tricky briefly in the first set when the Russians were able to serve to win the set. However, S&S confidently fended off this chance and finally won the match after an hour and 12 minutes. This means Sinner and Sonego are in the round of XNUMX, where a very tough nut to crack awaits. Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos are one of the strongest duos in the tennis world.

At midnight towards Struff

Meanwhile, Sinner will be in action in the individual on Sunday. The Sesto native is expected to play the third round match against Jan-Lennard Struff around midnight Central European time. The German is ranked 25th in the world.
