Tennis meets football: Sinner in Miami at Buffon & Co.

Jannik Sinner is currently in Miami, where he will take part in the next tennis tournament. Because the Italian national soccer team also stays there, they met during an Azzurri training session.

A few words with FIGC boss Gabriele Gravina, a quick joke with Gianluigi Buffon (he is team manager for Italy's national team), a chat with national coach Luciano Spalletti. Jannik Sinner visited the Italian national soccer team in Miami. The Azzurri are preparing for the international match against Venezuela (Thursday) in the USA. Sinner will be in action in the Florida metropolis at the Miami Open.

Buffon was particularly impressed by Sinner's visit, as videos on social media show. According to the Juventus icon, his children became big tennis fans because of Sinner. Spalletti congratulated Sinner on the “outstanding results” and said to his players: “We can learn a lesson from him when it comes to discipline and motivation.”

Sinner is placed second behind Carlos Alcaraz in Miami because Novak Djokovic canceled. Sinner's opening opponent in Miami is Pedro Cachin (ATP 2) from Argentina. The game is scheduled for Friday.
