Weis reaches the peloton in Santa Margherita di Pula

Alexander Weis was eliminated in the first round of the main draw at the $10.000 tournament in Santa Margherita di Pula on Sardinia after surviving qualification. The 19-year-old from Bolzano had to admit defeat to number 2 in the tournament and number 346 in the world, Francisco Bahamonde, last year's finalist in the Rungg Futures tournament, in two sets 2:6, 4:6.
