The South Tyrolean triathletes did not achieve any top placements at the World Championship series in Hamburg.

Brixen native Euan De Nigro finished in 26th place at the fifth stage of the World Triathlon Championship Series on the sprint course in Hamburg after a 750-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride and a 5-kilometer run, with a time of 51.16 minutes.

World champion Matthew Hauser (Australia) won in 50.04 minutes, narrowly ahead of Vasco Vilaca from Portugal (+ 3 seconds) and Henry Graf from Germany (+ 8).

In the women's race, Verena Steinhauser from Brixen had to settle for 37th place after 58:51 minutes. Victory went to the Frenchwoman Leonie Periault in 55:51, ahead of Lisa Tertsch (GER, +5 seconds) and Tilda Mansson (Sweden, +12 seconds). Bianca Seregni, the fastest swimmer, was the best Italian finisher in 22nd place.
