Ironkid Aquathlon thrills at the Bolzano Lido

The Ironkid Aquathlon delle Alpi took place on Sunday at the Lido in Bolzano. Organized by the Runners Club Bozen Raiffeisen – Triathlon Section, the event was once again part of the international TRIZUG Cup series, confirming its high standing in youth triathlon and aquathlon.

A total of 206 athletes from South Tyrol, Trentino, Austria, and various regions of Italy participated. Competitions were held in all youth categories – from juniors to the youngest children. The races in the Junior, Youth, and Ragazzi categories provided exciting competitions in the morning, followed by the events for the younger age groups in the afternoon.

The athletes of LC Bozen were particularly successful, securing several podium finishes and victories. Simon Fabbro's win in the Ragazzi male category was outstanding, as he finished ahead of Leonardo Pernici with a time of 7:49 minutes. Another LC Bozen athlete, Jan Danzi, followed in third place.

The host club also took the victory in the Youth A women's category: Lea Fabbro won in 13:05 minutes, ahead of Leah Mair and Emma Lorenzi. LC Bozen athletes Chiara Zambelli and Arianna Sivieri also delivered strong performances.

The event was also of great importance for the 2026 Regional Aquathlon Championships. Several athletes from LC Bozen achieved podium finishes and regional titles, including Jan Danzi, Igor Danzi, Mariasole Pessina, and Chiara Zambelli. With a total of 24 registered participants, LC Bozen was also among the clubs with the largest number of participants that day.
