As part of an international World Ranking Canoe Slalom, two decisive races will be held to determine the coveted places for participation in the World Cups and the European Championships.
On Saturday, there will be an open race with two heats, with the first heat counting as the first qualification. On Sunday, the World Ranking Canoe Slalom will take place – the better run from the first heat and Final A counts as the second qualification. In the women's single kayak, three Italian athletes will qualify for the Canoe Slalom European Championships after four qualifying races this weekend in Tacen and next weekend in Ivrea.

Carolin Schaller (27) from Augsburg, who has been competing for SC Merano for six years, and Tamara Drescher (21) from Merano are also competing. Both are determined to maintain their chances of a spot on the Italian senior team. "My goal for qualifying this year is to make the senior team. I was able to train very well for this over the winter and hope that it will pay off this year," says Schaller. Drescher is also determined: "My goal for this race is to qualify for the senior national team. To achieve this, I will fight for a podium finish in the ICF ranking race."
For training purposes, Annika Zoe Senoner (17), Marian Drescher (16) and Lars Aaron Senoner (15) from SC Meran will once again be at the start in Tacen, having already attracted attention with their strong performances in the U18 qualification in Solkan.
