SCM's young players impress at the Junior Cup in Flattach

The young canoeists of SC Meran/Raika-Torggler attracted attention with strong performances at the ECA Junior Slalom Cup in Flattach (Carinthia). This international race series is one of the most important youth events in European canoe slalom and attracted numerous athletes from several nations to Carinthia.

Sara Furlan was the most successful SCM athlete. The Merano native paddled to second place in both races in the U18 junior women's kayak single, securing two silver medals. Her consistently strong performances once again confirmed her excellent form.

The other young athletes also impressed. Jacopo Vicentini finished seventh and fifth in the U16 category, achieving two top-10 results in a highly competitive field. Jakob Tribus qualified for his first final in the U18 category. Filippo Vicentini also reached a final in the U14 category. Flattach marked Lena Borile's first appearance at an ECA Junior Cup.

With two silver medals, several final appearances and further top-10 placements, SC Meran/Raika-Torggler looks back on a successful competition weekend in Carinthia.
