One month until the Biathlon European Championships in Martell

The countdown is counting down inexorably! In four weeks, the Biathlon European Championships in Martell will begin with a grand opening ceremony in Latsch. In the following days, eight exciting medal decisions will take place in the Grogg biathlon center.

Preparations for the major sporting event in western South Tyrol, directly following the Biathlon World Cup in Antholz, have been in full swing for months. "We are in the middle of implementing our planning and of course we have our hands full. But even though the days are currently intense, everyone in the team is very excited and excited about this unique event. That is an additional incentive and actually motivates us even more," says Georg Altstätter, President of the Organizing Committee and Mayor of Martell.

The various cross-country ski trails and the biathlon stadium itself have been in excellent condition for weeks. The athletes from various national teams who trained in Martell were recently able to see this for themselves - with a view to the European Championships, but also the World Cup or the World Championships.

Eight exciting decisions

New European champions will be crowned in eight competitions in the side valley of the Vinschgau at the end of January and beginning of February 2025. The first two decisions will be made on Wednesday, January 29, when the individual competition takes place (start: 10.30:14.30 a.m. for women and 31:10.45 p.m. for men). The sprints are scheduled for Friday, January 14.15 (start: XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. for women and XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. for men).

The pursuit competitions scheduled for Saturday, February 1st are extremely exciting (start: 11.00:13.45 a.m. for women and 2:10.45 p.m. for men). The Biathlon European Championships in Martell will conclude with the relays, which will represent one last highlight of these championships on Sunday, February 13.45nd (start: XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. for women and XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. for men).
