Bob: Patrick Baumgartner makes it to the national team

New to the B team this year is 17-year-old Patrick Baumgartner. The young Palatinate native began his career as a pilot at the age of 16 and is one of the three South Tyrolean medalists at the Youth Winter Games in North Tyrol. Together with his pusher Alessandro Grande, Baumgartner won gold in the two-man bobsleigh. After finishing fourth in the first round, the two “Azzurri” performed brilliantly in the second run on the artificial track in Igls and left all their competitors behind.

While Lukas Gschnitzer was confirmed in the B team, Achim Obkircher is no longer in the national team.
