Frangipani impresses at the World Cup

The Figure Skating World Championships are currently taking place in Montreal (CAN). Gabriele Frangipani from Bolzano delivered a strong performance in the short program.

Frangipani finished 13th in the men's short program. This is a strong performance from the man from Bolzano (82,63 points), even though he didn't quite reach the top 10 he was aiming for. Nevertheless, he will be represented in the final - as the only one of the three South Tyroleans competing. Jari Kessler from Kaltern, who is competing for Croatia, came in 3th place with 68,32 points. That was just as insufficient for the final as the 29 points from Maurizio Zandron (Bozen), who is competing for Austria.

By the way, the best in the short program was Shoma Uno (107,72) from Japan. His compatriot Yuma Kagiyama (106,35) is in silver at halftime. Ilia Malinin from Russia is currently in third place.
