Event in Klobenstein and European Championship appearance for Vigl

On January 10th and 11th, the Arena Ritten in Klobenstein will host the Italian Junior Championships in sprint and mass start, one of the most important national speed skating races for young athletes.

This weekend, Italy's best junior speed skaters will meet to compete for the national title. With 115 participants, the competition is fierce, guaranteeing top-class racing.

In the U20, U18, and U16 sprint categories, both male and female athletes will compete in the 500-meter and 1000-meter races on both Saturday and Sunday. The U14 category will contest 300-meter and 500-meter races on both days. Additionally, a ten-lap mass start race, reserved exclusively for categories A, B, and C, will add further excitement to the competition.

Ritten Sport is particularly well represented: a total of 19 athletes from Ritten will be competing, nine of them in the mass start event. The Ritten runners are among the favorites, especially in the U14 category. Based on their previous performances, there is good reason to hope for another complete Ritten podium sweep.
