Maria Gasslitter also impresses in Big Air.

After Maria Gasslitter had already reached the final in slopestyle at the Olympic Games in Livigno, the Val Gardena native also demonstrated her skills in the Big Air qualification on Saturday evening.

Maria Gasslitter delivered a strong performance in the Big Air competition on Saturday evening in Livigno. The 19-year-old from St. Ulrich qualified relatively comfortably for the final of the top twelve athletes, finishing tenth overall. Gasslitter accumulated 156 points; 152 would have been sufficient to reach the final.

Besides Flora Tabanelli (6th), who is among the medal contenders, Gassslitter is the second Italian skier in the final, which takes place on Monday. Unlike Tabanelli, who crashed in her second run, Gassslitter could even afford to skip her third run.

The best qualifier was Megan Oldham (CAN), followed by Eileen Gu (CHN) and Mathilde Gremaud (GBR).
