No departure for Paris and Co: Race in Garmisch cancelled

Bad weather has led to the cancellation of the World Cup downhill race planned for Sunday in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

As on Friday, fog prevented training on the traditional Kandahar course on Saturday. Since at least one training session is mandatory, the dress rehearsal for the World Championships, which begin on Tuesday in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria, had to be cancelled.

From South Tyrol’s point of view, Dominik Paris (St. Walburg in Ulten), Florian Schieder (Kastelruth) and Christof Innerhofer (Gais) would have started in Garmisch.
