Italy impresses in Klaebo victory

The 10km classic style race took place in Lahti on Sunday. While Johannes Hosfot Klaebo secured another victory, three Italians finished in the top 10.

In pleasant temperatures of five degrees Celsius, the Norwegian superstar skied to his 111th World Cup victory, leaving his competitors no chance. Behind the six-time Olympic champion, Martin Lowstrom Nyengent (Norway) and Savelii Korostelev (Russia) finished in second and third place, respectively. The Italian team put on a strong performance that afternoon, securing three top finishes. Elia Barp (6th), Federico Pellegrino (7th), and Davide Graz (9th) all finished in the top ten.

Frida Karlsson wins in the women's competition

The women's race was considerably more exciting. In a real nail-biter, Frida Karlsson narrowly edged out her compatriot Linn Svahn and American Jessica Diggins. The best Italian was Caterina Ganz, who finished in 16th place.
