Another record: Klaebo wins his sixth gold medal at these Games

Exceptional cross-country skier Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo has won his sixth gold medal at the Winter Olympics, setting yet another record.

The Norwegian won the 50-kilometer classic race. He is thus the first athlete to win six titles at a single Winter Olympics.

With eleven gold medals, Klaebo also confidently leads the ranking of the most successful Winter Games athletes ahead of his compatriots Marit Bjørgen (cross-country skiing), Ole Einar Bjørndalen (biathlon) and Bjørn Dæhlie (cross-country skiing), who have each won eight gold medals.

Norwegians among themselves

Klaebo, who has now won all his starts in Tesero, broke away early in the race along with Emil Iversen and Martin Löwström Nyenget. The three Norwegians battled it out for the medals. Nyenget took silver, Iversen bronze.

Even after winning his tenth Olympic gold medal, which the 29-year-old won in the team sprint on Wednesday, he said: "It's crazy. It's hard to put into words. It feels unreal." He then added one more thing at the end.
