Team sprint: South Tyrolean Nordic combined skier has no chance in the jumping portion

The Nordic combined team sprint is scheduled for Thursday at the Winter Olympics. The ski jumping from the large hill took place in the morning.

The South Tyrolean duo Aaron Kostner and Samuel Costa had no chance in the ski jumping from the large hill (HS 141). Costa landed at 114 meters, while his partner jumped even further at 106,5 meters. This puts the two Val Gardena natives in 11th place before the cross-country skiing event in the afternoon. Kostner and Costa will start the cross-country race with a deficit of 1 minute and 26 seconds.

Germany is in the lead, with Johannes Rydzek and Vinzenz Geiger competing. They have a 13-second advantage over Norway. Behind them, Japan (+21 seconds), Finland (+27), Austria (+29), and France (+32) are battling for the remaining medals.

The decisive cross-country ski race starts at 14 pm in Tesero.
