The Junior World Championships for Alpine luge are postponed.

The 15th FIL Alpine Luge Junior World Championships 2026 will not take place in Mariazell (AUT) as planned. Umhausen (AUT) will step in as the host city for the championships.

Program change in the junior race calendar: After consultation with the Vice President of Alpine Luge Sorin Buta, the Sports Director Andreas Castiglioni and the Austrian Luge Federation, SV Umhausen has agreed at short notice to take over the FIL Alpine Luge Junior World Championships from 29.01. – 01.02.2026.

The FIL executive has confirmed this proposal and therefore expresses special thanks to SV Umhausen for taking over and conducting the event at short notice.
