Top-class tobogganing in Latzfons

Last weekend, the Italian luge championship took place in Latzfons. 80 lugers took part in the race on an ideal track and in perfect weather conditions. Many spectators cheered on the lugers along the race track. Mayor Peter Gasser was also among the spectators.

The fastest of the day were Silvia Runggatscher from ASV Villnöss, ahead of Hanna Tschurschenthaler (ASC Olang) and Jasmin Lang (ASV Latzfons). Sebastian Frei (ASC Laugen-Tisens) is the new Italian men's champion. He won with a track record, ahead of Christian Torggler (ASV Latzfons) and Simon Schwienbacher (ASC Laugen-Tisens).


In the doubles, Tobias Mair and Tobias Müller from ASC Laugen-Tisens were the fastest. Followed by Patrick Lambacher (the older brother of the Lambacher siblings, who were crowned double world champions in natural track luge on the same weekend in Küthai), Simon Schwienbacher from ASV Villnöss and Christian and Martin Torggler from ASV Latzfons.

The fastest in the club rankings was ASV Laugen-Tisens, ahead of ASV Latzfons and ASC Olang. The youth club rankings were won by ASC Laugen-Tisens, ahead of ASC Olang and ASV Villnöss.
