Alice Robinson reveals her skiing secret

Alice Robinson put an end to months of speculation on Friday by announcing which skis she will be using next season.

Despite winning three World Cup races and securing four further podium finishes last season, Alice Robinson decided to switch equipment in the spring. After four years, the New Zealander turned her back on Salomon and sought a new challenge. Now it's clear where the 24-year-old is headed.

As the seven-time World Cup winner announced on social media, she will be skiing on Head skis in the future. The Austrian brand had already signed two well-known names this spring: Christof Innerhofer and Henrik Kristoffersen. Now another top athlete is putting her trust in the skis that have consistently earned the most points at the World Cup level over the past six years.

For Robinson, this marks the second equipment change of her career. Before switching to Salomon, she relied on Völkl skis. She now hopes the agreement with Head will bring her a further performance boost – especially in the speed disciplines, where Head has always been a dominant force.

More stars to follow

Robinson will likely not be the last big name to strap on Austrian skis in the future. Rumors suggest that Lara Colturi (Albania) and Ester Ledecka (Czech Republic) are also close to switching to Head.
