The slalom men are also making it exciting.

Lucas Braathen and Atle Lie McGrath are leading the charge in the final men's race of the season, still vying for the slalom globe. Here's the current standings after the first run in Lillehammer.

Lucas Braathen and Atle Lie McGrath finished in fifth and sixth place, respectively. This means the Norwegian, who currently leads the Slalom World Cup standings by 41 points over Braathen, holds all the cards going into the second run. McGrath would only need a third-place finish to secure the crystal globe. It currently appears that even a lesser result would suffice.

Tension is guaranteed in the second run. Swiss skier Loic Meillard currently leads with a fantastic run. Meillard clearly distanced the two Norwegians Henrik Kristoffersen (+0,67 seconds) and Timon Haugan (+0,79). Kristoffersen and fourth-placed Noel still have an outside chance at the crystal globe – even if it is very slim.

Alex Vinatzer from Val Gardena couldn't find his rhythm and is currently languishing in 17th place. Tommaso Sala (14th) is currently the best Italian. The men's slalom final in Lillehammer starts at 1:30 pm, after the second run of the women's giant slalom. Mikaela Shiffrin and Emma Aicher are still competing for the big crystal globe there.
