Ski baby Olympe heals her daddy's deep wounds

Alexis Pinturault has experienced a real rollercoaster of emotions so far in 2024. At the beginning of January, he skipped the giant slalom in Adelboden to rush to the hospital, where his wife Romane gave birth to their first baby. Little Olympe put a big smile on the former overall World Cup winner's face - and later also played the comforter when Pinturault tore his cruciate ligament in Wengen just a week later.

The season was over for the Frenchman, but the comeback project began. And this is progressing better and better. “My knee feels good,” he wrote on social media about a photo that showed him taking a walk with his daughter Olympe. The 33-year-old added with a smile: “I can now even go hiking with a little extra weight.”

Of course, the little extra weight means the baby, who is a great support to Pinturault during the often difficult injury and rehab phase. Little Olympe not only enriches the lives of the Pinturault couple, but also heals the deep wounds of the famous ski dad. He wants to be at the forefront again in the concert of the big boys in the coming winter season. Then little Olympe will also be able to watch her dad at work.
