After the canceled races in Zermatt/Cervinia, the drivers of the fastest disciplines were already guests in Lake Lousie, Beaver Creek and Val Gardena. Now the ski circus is stopping in Bormio, where the infamous “Stelvio” is waiting for Kilde, Odermatt and Co.

The fifth downhill run of the season is on the program on Wednesday, December 28th, followed by the third Super-G the following day. The first of the two training sessions begins on Monday at 11.30:XNUMX a.m. The focus is on one person in particular: Dominik Paris, who everyone is hoping will make a comeback after the sobering performances of the current season.

It would be the perfect opportunity for “Domme” who knows the “Stelvio” like the back of his hand. He has won the Bormio downhill six times in his career, the first time ten years ago. The Ultner is currently going through a very difficult phase. Here, on the slope where he has already won so much, the 33-year-old could turn things around, also with a view to Kitzbühel and the World Championships in February in Courchevel Méribel.

Paris will wear start number 7 in tomorrow's training. The other Azzurri are Matteo Marsaglia, who took start number 1, then Mattia Casse with start number 19, ahead of Christof Innerhofer (21), Nicolò Molteni (start number 36), Florian Schieder (52) and Giovanni Franzoni (57). Pietro Zazzi from Bormio (start number 55), Matteo Franzoso (63) and Benjamin Jacques Alliod are fighting for the other two starting numbers for the descent.
