It was only after Christmas in Bormio that Christof Innerhofer had a serious fall. © sciaremag

Christof Innerhofer knows no pain

He is and remains a tough dog. The stitches are still in his battered right calf, and a sub-luxation in his left shoulder is bothering him. All after-effects of the serious fall at the Super-G in Bormio. And yet: Christof Innerhofer will be at the start of the first downhill training in Wengen on Tuesday.

“The calf was of course very swollen at the beginning. I constantly wear a thrombosis stocking, the wound heals well and is not infected,” says Innerhofer. The calf is the smaller problem.
