The beginning of a new era for Christof Innerhofer

Even in the autumn of his career, Christof Innerhofer remains passionate about skiing. Now, at 41, he's embarking on a new adventure in his quest for those hundredths of a second.

In recent days, numerous equipment changes have been announced in the ski scene, causing quite a stir: Paula Moltzan (van Deer), Henrik Kristoffersen (Head), and Zan Kranjec (Nordica) are all seeking new challenges. Christof Innerhofer is now following suit. After skiing his entire career on Rossignol, the Gais native will be strapping on a different ski brand: Like Kristoffersen, he has signed with Head.

As the South Tyrolean announced on social media, he will be riding on the Austrian brand in the future. "Starting this new adventure with Head means a lot to me," Innerhofer writes. "It's something I've been thinking about for a long time. From the very first moment, it felt right. The people, their attitude, their ambition. I'm really looking forward to what's to come. Let's get to work."

The switch comes as a bit of a surprise, given that Innerhofer achieved three top-10 finishes last season and qualified for the Olympic Games. He hopes the equipment change will bring him another leap in performance, propelling him back onto the podium. With Rossignol, the veteran skier won five medals at major events and six World Cup victories.

Colleagues commented on the post, expressing their delight at the news. Beat Feuz, who celebrated his greatest successes on Head, wrote with a touch of humor: "Welcome, up-and-coming talent."
