On Monday, Loic Meillard achieved his biggest victory to date. In the slalom in Bormio, the Swiss skier secured his first Olympic gold medal – crowning his already outstanding career. Meillard was overjoyed, as was his girlfriend Zoé Chastan, who works as a press officer for the Swiss ski team.

The ski couple weren't just celebrating their Olympic victory on Monday; they also announced some wonderful news: Meillard and Chastan are expecting their first child. The secret was revealed in the winner's interview after receiving the gold medal. "2026 is a wonderful year, we're incredibly excited," said the 29-year-old, who later added: "My greatest medal will come this summer."

Meillard and his partner Zoé have been together for years. Especially at the beginning, their relationship was viewed with skepticism within the Swiss team – he, the skier, she, the press officer.
