The Red Bulls push Odermatt to the limit

Marco Odermatt was the high-flyer in the men's Ski World Cup in the 2023/24 season. The 26-year-old Swiss not only secured the big crystal globe, but also the small ones in Super-G, downhill and giant slalom. Odermatt is working hard and intensively to continue this series of successes in the coming season.

Recently, Odermatt underwent a special APC test organized by his sponsor Red Bull. This involves monitoring blood clotting to detect possible thrombosis at an early stage. In an Instagram post, Odermatt shared several pictures of this test and commented humorously: "Just laughing at the Red Bull APC tests. Or maybe not..."

The test may look rigorous, but it has an important health benefit. It measures the time it takes for blood to clot after an exercise session. Norwegian skier Kjetil Jansrud also encourages young athletes to try such tests to monitor and improve their health.

Red Bull has been supporting Marco Odermatt as a sponsor since 2018, and since 2021 the cooperation has also included the prestigious place on the helmet. The drinks giant offers more than just financial support: training science advice, medical checks and logistical help, such as helicopter flights, are also part of the package. This comprehensive support enables Odermatt to reach his full potential and continue to compete at the highest level.

With this commitment and his cheerful attitude, Odermatt remains a role model for young athletes and a shining example of how to combine hard work and the joy of sport.
