Kvitfjell is something like Dominik Paris' second living room. On Friday, the 35-year-old Ultner celebrated his fifth victory in the Norwegian winter sports resort. Behind him were no fewer than four (!) Swiss! So you could say that the Ultner stole the show from the Swiss. The next day, on Saturday, Marco Odermatt & Co. turned the tables. They celebrated a triple victory, while "Domme" came in sixth.
The Swiss are simply a force this season, and they have now proven that in Kvitfjell. In the second downhill, world champion Franjo von Allmen beat Marco Odermatt (+0,28 seconds) and Stefan Rogentin (+0,38). This means that the battle for the downhill globe is still open: Before the last downhill at the World Cup finals in Sun Valley (USA), Odermatt is 83 points ahead of von Allmen. A win is worth 100 points.

Dominik Paris was unable to repeat his dream run from Friday and ended up in 6th place. In the end, the Ultner was 0,59 seconds away from victory and 21 hundredths of a second away from the podium. With poor visibility and a somewhat slower track, Paris did not manage to get some key passages right this time, and the gap grew as his run progressed. Nevertheless, this 6th place is also proof that Domme is back where the music is playing.

Florian Schieder finished the race in 13th place and confirmed his upward trend. He will be at the World Cup final in Sun Valley, where the best 25 in each discipline will compete. Christof Innerhofer missed out on a points ranking.
The last speed weekend before the final will be rounded off with the Super-G on Sunday, which starts at 10.30 am. With the SportNews-Live ticker, as always, you are there in real time.
