Ski ace celebrates wedding.

Two is better than one: Ski lady in wedding fever

It was an exciting summer for Priska Ming-Nufer. The Swiss downhill skier had a lot going on away from the ski slopes. Ming-Nufer celebrated two weddings within a few weeks.

At the beginning of May, the 32-year-old downhill skier married her long-time boyfriend Patrick Ming at the registry office - exactly one year after the two got engaged on vacation. At the same time, Priska Nufer also took her husband's name and will now compete in the ski circus as Ming-Nufer.

Two months later – on July 6 – the church wedding followed. And that was when things got really emotional for the skier. "Pure goosebumps. I didn't think we could surpass the emotions at the registry office," Ming-Nufer wrote on social media.

"Celebrating with all the people we love meant an incredible amount to us. We are still overwhelmed by all the love, emotions and joy. Thank you to everyone who made our day more beautiful, these moments will remain in our hearts forever," said the Swiss woman.

Priska Ming-Nufer is therefore going into the new ski season with a lot of energy. She is one of the long-standing favorites in the World Cup, having competed 182 times. The 32-year-old celebrated her greatest success in February 2022, when she won her first and so far only World Cup victory in Crans-Montana. Now the Swiss woman wants to make a splash as a new wife.
