A little skier is out and about with his famous dad.

A prominent ski baby causes excitement

Although the World Cup season has been over for a few weeks, one skiing legend is still causing a stir – together with his little son.

He is one of the best ski racers in history. Aksel Lund Svindal won Olympic gold, was crowned world champion five times, and finished at the top of 36 World Cup races. In short: The Norwegian, now 42 years old and retired from skiing, has made himself a legend. Even his son Storm will understand that in a few years.

Will the young man, who was born 18 months ago, follow in his father's footsteps? Little Storm certainly has plenty of skiing genes. And he also has a certain talent, as his dad recently demonstrated. Svindal posted a video on Instagram of himself zipping down the slopes with his son. "This little boy tried on his skis today," Svindal captioned it with a laughing smiley.

Svindal's fans and colleagues are certainly thrilled; Dominik Paris, among others, liked the video. One fan wrote: "Imagine the day he actually understands who his father is."

Mom is also a world-class athlete

By the way, little Storm not only has a famous dad, but also a famous mom. Amalie Iuel, Svindal's fiancée, is one of Norway's top track and field athletes. The 400-meter hurdler competed in the Olympic Games last summer—less than a year after Storm's birth.
